Baptism – A Gift From God To Parents – Parish Community

The sacrament of Baptism is a special moment in the life of every faith community.  We, as people, plan for special moments and celebrations in our everyday lives.

The Baptism of a child or an adult calls for special moments of reflection and prayer.

The church looks upon the celebration of the Sacraments as a teachable moment for the individual as well as the community.

We as a parish have a process of preparation for infant Baptism.  Hopefully this process time together will be one of growth and enrichment for parents and the community.  We will begin by asking parents to have a personal interview before the Baptism of their child.  This will be an opportunity for us to rejoice with you on this happy event in your family and our parish.

Hopefully we will grow and be able to share and guide our children in the ways of faith.  This is not to make it difficult for parents but hopefully we will look upon the time as an opportunity to grow together.
